Puffins breeding season is April to August. The male and female Puffin will rub their beaks together,a practice known as billing. Egg laying season starts as early as April. A Puffin egg hatches  somewhere around 5-8 weeks after its layed. A female Puffin lays one egg a year. Puffin parents take turns incubating their baby with their brood patch. Puffins would normally stay with the same mate for life. After 7-8 weeks the Puffin is finally able to  leave the burrow.
